Waterfront Action is the new name for the partnership formerly known as the Waterfront Community Group. This change was felt to be wise as the former name caused confusion with other similar sounding organisations. Waterfront Action is still working for the same aim, to help develop a vibrant, friendly and thriving community on the Waterfront, and to enable that a constitution has been drawn up so that funding can be sought to push the work forward.
In the new name of Waterfront Action we feel we have some of the inspiration that has been behind the partnership and it is Action on the Waterfront that we are aspiring to in the future.
Waterfront Action has organised several very large successful events
which were held to help develop a relational and vibrant Ipswich Waterfront Community for both residents and visitors.

and can also be downloaded from the surveys and reports page.
Several surveys have been carried out to obtain both "soft" data ie: what people like... and want to change as well as "hard" data ie: who lives in the properties etc. details of the results of these are on this website.
