2011 Information
55,000 !!!!!!!
Ipswich is a fantastic Maritime Town......... our biggest problem is we don't shout about it enough! It was great to see people wearing stickers saying "I love Ipswich".
This weekend we did shout and the
Maritime Ipswich event attracted over 55,000 visitors for a
fantastic weekend of activities for the whole family - and being a
FREE festival made it even better!! This event showed that
Ipswich is a great place to come to!
This event was organised by Ipswich Borough Council (big thanks to the events team!) in association with Ipswich Central, Ipswich Waterfront Action, Ipswich Maritime Trust, ABP and OLD Gaffers.
So, what did you think of it?
Please email me information about what you enjoyed about the event together with any comments for the future.
Ipswich Waterfront Action will collate the
comments and will not identify you in the results. Please
include your postcode with your comments.
Many thanks for your support in attending this event ......

exhibition during August s entitled Waterline and will consist of
selected works drawn from a national call for entries. The works
will all depict or incorporate some aspect of water with the
emphasis on contemporary art but the overriding criteria for
selection will be quality not genre. The works will be selected by a
panel of experts and there will be a selectors prize of £500 which
has been kindly donated by Hawksmoor Investment Management who are
also located on the waterfront.
The exhibition will run for 6
