Ipswich Waterfront Rotary - INVITATION
Ipswich Orwell Rotary Club, which meets at the Bistro on The Quay, is holding a
“hospitality evening” in the UCS Boardroom on Thursday 14th
April, starting at 6pm and lasting for approximately 1 hour. The
idea is to introduce local business people to Rotary; there will be local club
members on hand, and we will also have an “Aqua Box” and a “Shelter Box” on
display – such as those that are sent to disaster areas through Rotary funding.
As well as supporting international relief work, Rotary also works closely with
local businesses and communities. One ongoing project is the renowned
Youth Leadership Award where Rotary
works with local businesses to sponsor and send young employees on a one-week
“outward-bound” style leadership course.
The evening event is simply to explain what we do and how we do it. There
will be some nibbles and drinks available. The UCS Boardroom is a stunning
location, so if for no other reason, come along and join us and enjoy the view!
All are welcome at 6pm on the 14th, and it would be
helpful if you could indicate your likely attendance beforehand. Marc
